ETEN LITERACY PROGRAM IN CITY

CONVENTION IN TOWN ETEN to eradicate illiteracy

The National Mobilization for Literacy (PRONAM), the Regional Government of Lambayeque and the District Municipality of Ciudad Eten have signed inter-institutional cooperation agreements with the Ministry of Education to eradicate illiteracy in our jurisdiction, since according to the latest Census of Population and VI XI Housing 2007, our community has a population of 1 516 illiterate , requiring the implementation of Literacy circles to contribute to reducing the rate of illiteracy.


In 2009, Ciudad Eten was considered to be operated by the MED through PRONAM with the aim of eradicating illiteracy, so we worked with a designated district responsible coordinator, five supervisors and setentaitrés literacy. It also intervened Cascajales village and town center Villa El Milagro.



The beginning of the work of the National Mobilization for Literacy in the Lambayeque region was developed after training to national coordinators, held in Lima in Huampani Convention Center, then made replicas of training supervisors in selected provinces and finally facilitators in each district.


literacy circles Town Eten settled in different places targeted for intervention, working in the homes of participants. Work were given educational materials for facilitators and useful to participants, in this way had the support of political authorities and aldermen for the normal development of this program is in the interest of those who have not yet developed the capacities of Reading and math calculations.


this program also count tracking, monitoring and supervision of those responsible for interventions in each targeted district. As well as the support of audiovisual resources (DVD and TV) that the Ministry of Education gave the district Eten Town on loan until the program ends.
